My 5 Favorite Things About Bahamas Paradise Grand Celebration Cruise
“It’s a better way to getaway”
Dreaming of a quick getaway? Feeling the need for a change of scenery? The Bahamas Paradise Grand Celebration ship provides a relatively inexpensive two night voyage to Grand Bahama Island departing from the port of Palm Beach.
Considered a smaller ship by hosting only 1,325 passengers makes this ship the perfect size to feel the right amount of cozy. I recently experienced a weekend onboard the Grand Celebration and wanted to share my favorite things as it might surprise you.
Many wonder if their sales and deals are too good to be true, and I attest that they are! This ship and her staff delivered a truly better way to getaway. Honestly, the only drawback for me is the destination to Freeport, Grand Bahamas, as this island is not a favorite port.
However, if your intention is like mine, to chill out, relax and refresh on the sea, look no further.
Let the others enjoy the island excursions and use the day to make the ship your own personal paradise. There’s just something magical about sailing across the sea to sooth the spirit, even if it’s only for a few days.
This is a no-brainer add-on because of the myriad of value added perks. For me, the selling point comes in the form of VIP treatment from the minute you arrive to the minute you depart.
When other passengers are lined up at check in, the VIPers are zipped through the lines and personally escorted on board. Once there, you meet your new best friend, the cruise ambassador! They help schedule your next few days to make the most of your trip and customize your experience.
Priority dinner arrangements check. Spa appointments, check. Anything you desire, check. They even give you a private phone number to reach the ambassador if needed, check!
Docking at the port of Palm Beach every other day allows this ship to re-provision often. This is huge!
As a self-proclaimed foodie with a restaurant background, I promise you that the culinary excellence on board the Celebration will satisfy all of your senses. Concierge guests savor in champagne breakfasts and seafood dinners.
For lunch, its buffet style with plenty of healthy options for fresh salads or BBQ burgers. These choices are exactly what I was hoping for. Try their newest restaurant featuring interactive dining at The Rock Grill, where guests can cook their own meals on lava rocks!
Ask for a galley tour, meet the executive chef and get ready to be amazed.
A not to miss highlight on this ship is spa time. Included in the concierge program, a spa treatment lets you melt into bliss with a Turkish bath followed by a professional and calming massage.
Stroll through the deck wearing the plush robe provided in your cabin and soon, you won’t care that you’re kind of wearing pajamas in public. Their highly trained therapists welcome you to their world to escape for just a little while.
An afternoon favorite spot of mine is the adults only oasis area on the top deck, with loungers, cool wicker pod chairs and chill music.
International, smiling, accommodating, did I mention super friendly? These crew members must love their jobs because it shows in their faces. They wear badges showing their home country’s flag. Please ask them where they’re from, make new friends and learn a thing or two about what it’s like working on a floating hotel.
Some passengers come to party and some passengers come to relax. Be rest assured, whatever your intention for a quick getaway, the Grand Celebration delivers. You will find the party or the chill zones. A few days away from home is better than no days. If I stayed home, for sure, I would be doing laundry or checking off to do lists. What would you rather do? Bravo, Bahamas Paradise on the Grand Celebration ship. Looking forward to my next voyage.
